GOOOOOOOOOD MORNING, everyone!
and what a beautifully brilliant and HAPPY morning it was! kate woke up all smiles chirping rise and shine to everyone and everything!! she felt much better since last night – thank goodness! all night i kept waking up to check on her and made sure she stayed hydrated. what a RELIEF!
this was our morning view – so peaceful, right?! i told chris i want PINE WOOD everything in our dream home now! so warm and bright and inviting!!
gorgeous view as we drove from our hotel to go have some lunch in town!
they had this fun music playing on the slopes and kate couldn’t help but shake her little heinie to the beats! too cute!! and in the photo below the dancing kates, i’m holding onto my kids for dear life – they just did NOT want to stand still for any pics – VERY busy little bees i tell you!
look at these darling little details!! they even stack their firewood beautifully!:
daddy and his little ducklings! how i love these three!!
since kate was not feeling well last night, we made sure she took it easy today. she insisted she felt much better, but i didn’t think she was 100% yet, SO we agreed kate and mommy would sit out skiing this weekend. and instead, maybe do some sledding for a short time instead. kate was super sad about this – she really really wanted to go skiing, poor sweetie…
jack’s ski instructor was so nice! he knew kate was sad about not being able to ski so he kept waving to her every time they went up on the ski lift and then mischievously throwing fluffs of snow at her. she waved back with a sad/happy smile, watched them become smaller and smaller up the hill, then sadly resumed her sledding. my heart broke for her, but i have to say her sledding skills greatly improved today – she started out scared to go a few feet and by the end, she was zipping down steep hills like a pro!
this cheery red hot air balloon made me so HAPPY! i think it was giving people rides up and down – so fun!
haha!! i want to do this too!!!:
mommy’s sweet little angel!:
here, kate is making daddy promise to take her skiing later.
this photo below just warms my heart! look at kate’s little happy face!
after one more ride down the hill, we headed back into town for some dinner! we had reservations at il vizietto and it was SO good! we’ll share some photos from there as well as the magical town of cortina at night in our next post! by the way our red sled has lasted us 3 years so far! glad it’s getting to experience italy with us!
PIN IT FOR LATER:
