AUTUMN IN PARIS: LUNCH AT LA MAISON ROSE.

{published on april 27, 2019} LA MAISON ROSE! we had such a delicious lunch at this utterly charming cafe on this equally charming street (2 rue de l’abreuvoir)! it was a gorgeous day but there was a brisk chill in the air today, so stepping into this cozy cafe to have a warm meal felt incredibly comforting!

Oh, except that one night when I forgot I had made dinner reservations and we got turned away because they were full. I only remembered as we were sitting at another restaurant two hours later with a HANGRY family. replycancel

  Thank you, Wendy! This font always reminds me of reading the New York Times! Growing up, this paper was the first thing I saw at the breakfast table! My dad’s face was always buried in it. But he would always put it down when he saw me and hand me my favorite sections. We would both read while we munched on my mom’s amazing French toasts and scrambled eggs!replycancel

OMG your kids are so cute! I didn’t go to Lake Como when I went to Italy. It looks beautiful. I went to all the typical cities: Rome, Milan, Venice and Florence. I hear the Almafi Coast is beautiful as well. Need to make my way back soon to hit all the other spots I missed!

  Thanks! I used the Nikon D7200 and these Nikon lenses 14-24mm f/2.8g, 85mm f1.4g, 35mm f1.4g. I say invest in the lenses and don’t worry about the camera body too much! If I had to travel with just one lens it would be the 35mm. Great for street photography. Take care!replycancel

When my family and I lived in the 1000 islands area of NY we would take a ferry out to Boldt Castle regularly. It was one of our favorite things to do. To be able to have that same relaxing experience in an epic locale like lake como sounds like a dream come true!replycancel
